Today, with the development of economy, vast areas of the world are damaged by chemical waste. Many places have been destroyed and many plants and animals have died. This is awful.
Factories produce large numbers of harmful chemicals. Clouds of dirty smoke they create go into the atmosphere and make us sick. Other types of chemical waste are poured into our water, killing river and sea life.
Much sea life is being destroyed by fishing boats as well, which will result in a smaller number of fish left for us to eat in the future.
