According to the latest research from UCLA, the pleasure that people get, especially among the young generation, from receiving a “thumbs-up” is similar to the exhilaration they feel when eating chocolate or winning money. UCLA’s experiment shows that specific areas of teenagers’ brains are stimulated (刺激) when they receive a “thumbs-up.”
Posts that already have a certain amount of “thumbs-up” are more likely to grab the teenagers’ attention and they will “like” them as well to fit in with others, even if the post is from a stranger, according to the research.
