It was a fine spring day last Monday and I visit the West Lake by myself. I was walking along the east bank which I found myself standing under a big tree. Some visitors pointed their cameras highly at the tree. I looked up only to find a lovely squirrel(松鼠) sitting on a low branch, busily ate something! Then it climbed down the tree and looked on food on the ground, which delighted everybody.
Later that afternoon I returned to home and shocking news came from Internet. A visitor in his fifty, encouraged by his wife, rushed out, hit the squirrel to the ground and stepped on it heavily, causing the squirrel serious injured. It managed to climb the tree but then fall to the ground, dead! What a great pity!
