Shanghai Disney Resort opened on June 16th, 2016. As the sixth in the world and the second in China ( after Hong Kong Disneyland), Shanghai Disney Resort creates many records in all the Disneyland Parks.
Enchanted Storybook Castle (奇幻童话城堡)
It is at the heart of the park. It is the tallest and largest Disney castle in all Disneyland parks. A staircase (楼梯) in the castle can lead visitors to a “Once Upon a Time Adventure (冒险)”. There, you can meet all of the Disney princesses (公主).
Central Lake
It is as big as 56 soccer fields and one of the biggest in all Disneyland parks. People can take a boat while enjoying firework shows!
Treasure Cove (宝藏湾)
It is the first pirate-themed (海盗主题的) park in all Disneyland parks with two large pirate ships, one pirate restaurant, and a water-play zone(区域). During the trip, visitors will meet brave pirates, beautiful mermaids(美人鱼) and so on.
Garden of the Twelve Friends
It is the front of the castle. There are pictures of 12 animals in the garden. Each stands for the 12 signs of the Chinese zodiac(生肖) using popular Disney characters. Visitors can try finding their own zodiac signs on the wall and take photos with them.
Toy Story Hotel
Walking around the park is fun. In the Toy Story Hotel, you’ll see pictures of Buzz Lightyear and Woody on walls, towels and slippers (拖鞋). They are from the film Toy Story. In the hotel restaurant, you may see real cartoon characters talking around and take photos with them!
