I was lucky to have a chance to spend one year in a British high school. It was a
very 61 (enjoy) and exciting experience 62 me.
School starts around 9 a.m. and 63 (end) about 3:30 p.m. This means I could get up an hour 64 (late) than usual as schools in China begin before 8 a.m. I found the homework was not as heavy as what I used to get in my former school, but it was a bit 65 (challenge) for me at first 66 all the homework was in English. I spent an hour every day 67 (read) English books in the library so my English improved a lot. Students can stop studying subjects if they don’t like them. They can choose other 68 (subject) like Art, Computer Science or Languages. I attended the Art class where I made a small sculpture. 69 it didn’t look very beautiful when it was finished, I still 70 (like) it very much.
I missed Chinese food a lot at lunch. British food is very different. After lunch, we usually played on the school field. I really hope that someday I can go back and study in Manchester again.
