Dear Sir or Madam,

I’m Li Hua from Class 6, Grade 2. I’m writing to you to apply to join in the English Drama Club.

I have been interesting in performing since my childhood. I have also read most of Shakespeare’s plays, that fascinate me greatly. Beside, I am good at spoken English because I always practice speaking with native speakers at our school’s English corner. I win first prize in the Speech Contest of our school last year. If I am accepted, I would like to be a director or an actor so that I can decide which plays to put up and how to perform it well.

I expect to put my talent to good use by performing with other member. I hope to be given such chance.
