              Virus spreads worldwide

                 Last Friday, the largest virus attack ever affected more than 200,000 computers in more than 150 countries. The attack used a virus that locked the computers’ data. The attackers ask for payment to unlock the computers. Computers in organizations including the British healthcare system, the American company FedEx and Russia’s Interior Ministry have caught the virus, called WannaCry.

              Chinese youth encouraged

                As we all know, the future of a country lies in its youth. That’s why the Chinese government set a plan to guide its youth towards better development.

                 The Middle and Long-term Youth Development Plan (2016-2025) came out on April 13, reported Xinhua News Agency. In the plan, “youth” refers to those aged from 14 to 35.

                 The plan covers 10 areas such as education, healthcare, culture and so on.

              Meeting of world leaders

              The world witnessed a historic moment as the leaders of the world’s top two economies met for the first time. Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President, Donald Trump, made their first meeting from April 6 to 7 at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, US. It “set an active direction for the further development of China--US relations”, said Xinhua News Agency. While meeting with Trump, Xi said there are “a thousand reasons to make the China-US relationship work, and no reason to break it”.

              Physical books preferred

              With smartphones and e-readers becoming more common, some have worried that the days of paper books are numbered. But as a recent survey showed, traditional books are still popular among readers.

                 According to a study in America, the main reasons were that when reading e-books, students are easily distracted. Some also ended up with headaches or painful eyes. In addition, print books can bring a very different reading experience.
