China is a great country with the largest population in the world. In order to solve the population problem, our government carried out one-child policy（独生子女政策）before. When it is carried out for some time, many people not only see its advantages but also disadvantages.

From 2016, two-child policy is put into effect. In my opinion, two-child policy is good. First of all, two-child policy is the gift for some only child. For some families, maybe the parents are only child and they also can have only child. Besides the loneliness of their child, when their child grows up and they grow older, their child marry an only child girl, the burden（负担）on their child and his wife is too heavy. Their child and his wife have to take care of two couples. Usually, a young couple looking after an old couple is a little difficult. But if their parents have two children, they can share the burden（负担） of taking care of their parents. It would be much better. Secondly, two-child policy can guarantee（保证） the number of Chinese population.

All in all, one-child policy has been out of date. And two-child policy is needed and necessary. It can solve the problems of nowadays（现在）and the future.

It may be hard to believe, but the American Revolution(革命)—the war that freed the American states from British control—began over a cup of tea. Tea was not the only thing that caused the war, of course, but it played a very big part.

The British people’s love of tea is well-known. When the British won control over mush of North America in the early 1700s, they brought their tea- drinking habits with them. Tea quickly became the continents most popular drink. As tea could not be grown locally, just as in Britain, it was shipped into the country—mostly from India.

In the early 1700s, the Britain government made a special deal with the East India Company, as an English trading company. They agreed that no other company was allowed to bring tea to Britain or any country controlled by Britain, including America. It was a great deal for the East India Company, since it meant that the company could decide whatever price it wanted for its products. And it always decided on a high price!

In North America, the local people did not like having to pay such high prices. Instead od overpaying for tea from the British, they turned to Dutch traders, who secretly brought tea to the country that was just as good—and much less expensive. Although this broke the law, the American people didn’t care. They got the same cup of tea at a much lower price.

The East India Company, however, didn’t like this at all. By the 1760s, they were losing millions of pounds each year to Dutch traders—a huge amount of money in a time when￡60 a year was considered a good income. Instead of reducing their prices to compete with the Dutch, the company asked the British government for help and the government agreed.

In 1767, the British introduced new law that increased the prices of all goods which were brought into America. These laws helped make the East India Company even richer and forced local people to pay much more for everything. The American leaders asked the British government not to do so, but the British refused to listen. These unfair laws increased Americans’ anger about British rule and the rest, as they say, is history.

Do you know about London well? London is a very diverse place. There are over 300 languages spoken by London's school children alone,with many who do not use English as their first or main language at home. London has always been known to be culturally (在文化方面) very mixed (混合的).

  The first thing that we did when we came to London was to go to Harrods. Harrods is a huge department store where everything is very expensive. We went to the food court and saw a huge amount of different food from all over the world. I bought an American sort of lunch and when I tried it,I was very disappointed. Although the rest of my family ordered food that was not so American，they were also disappointed at their food.

  But Harrods is not only about the food. In fact,Harrods has one of the world biggest collections of clothes in one department store. The clothes were all very in fashion,as well as super expensive. It's one of those stores where if you don't have enough money to buy the clothes,you can look,but can't touch. Even though I couldn’t buy anything,I still enjoyed looking.

The American secret service began in 1865．It has many important jobs．One is to stop different types of fraud (诈骗), such as printing fake money, credit card fraud and computer fraud．The other is to protect the president at all times．
　　The secret service’s earliest job was to stop people from making fake money．The secret service agents (特工) still have to do that because the criminals (罪犯) are smarter now．They are better at using computers and other expensive equipment．But agents are much smarter．
　　Protecting the president is hard．The most dangerous places  are outdoors．Agents can’t check every person in the crowd, so they must watch the crowd carefully．And they always follow the president．They’re just like the president’s shadow．
　　Unluckily, some people do want to give the president trouble, or even hurt him．The secret service agents try to find them and stop them when they want to do something bad．It’s a dangerous, but important job．The secret service helps keep the president and the country safe．

It is often said that China is a developing country and the West is developed. However, China is trying her best to be “developed”. We can see her hard work in the following aspects(方面).

     This photo has touched a lot of people’s hearts. A reporter, Nadia Abu Shaban, shared it on the Internet recently. In the picture, a Syrian（叙利亚的） girl “ surrendered(投降) ” because she thought the photographer‘s camera was a gun. She was very scared.

It was taken by a photographer, Osman Sagirli. He said he took the picture at a regugee camp（难民营）in Syria last December.

The girl’s name is Adi Hudea. Her father died in 2012. She has been living with her mother at the refugee camp ever since.

“You know there are refugees in the camps. It makes more sense to see what they have suffered, not through adults, but through children, ”Sagirli said.
