As space science develops, man has learned more about space. While working in space, spacemen are facing danger as well as success.

Scientists have found out that radiation(辐射) is the greatest danger to spacemen in space. When spacemen are working in space, they are in danger of the radiation from the sun and other stars, which is bad for their health. The harm of the radiation won’t be found until their children even grandchildren are born. Some special medicine may work a little, but no really useful medicine has been found so far.

Space rubbish is also thought to be a great danger to spacemen. It is reported that there were 9,000 man-made things flying in space. About 30% of these are satellites(卫星) , 10% are spaceships, and the rest are space rubbish. An explosion (爆炸) in space in 1999 made a cloud of 300,000 fragments (碎片), each at least4mmin size. A small piece of these even knocked a spaceship window and caused some damage.

Space is not only amazing but also dangerous. Although space is really dangerous, it interests many people on the Earth. In the near future, people may spend a few days in a space hotel. So we should do something to help improve the space environment.

Look around and you’ll see people busy on their smart phones(智能手机). Smart phones do make our lives easier than before. But have you ever thought about what they mean to your eyes?
According to a study, half of British people own smart phones and they spend an average of two hours a day using them. There has been a 35% increase in the number of people in the UK who are shortsighted(近视) since smart phones were introduced there in 1997.
Looking at smart phones for a long time gives you dry eyes. When looking at something far away, your eyes automatically blink(自动眨眼) a certain number of times. However, when you look at things closer to your face, the blinking will slow down and this will be bad for eyes. Another bad habit is using smart phones in dark rooms before going to sleep. If you look at a bright screen, your pupils(瞳孔) will become larger and too much light will enter your eyes. This can do harm to the eyes and cause a disease called glaucoma(青光眼).
There are a few things you can do to protect your eyes. Hold your phone at least 30 centimeters away from your eyes when using it. Take a break every hour and try the following: look at something at least five meters from you and then try to look at the tip of your nose. Repeat this several times and it should reduce the discomfort in your eyes.

Although smart phones are useful, please use them in a right way.
