If we don't have classes or exams, summer vacation is a good time for every kid. To me, it means  (1)  more than not going to school. It is also a golden opportunity to   (2)   time with my family because 1 have  (3)   time with them during the school year.

    Last summer I traveled with my family to the Hawkesbury River in Western Sydney. It was one of the most unforgettable summer   (4)   of my life.

    Staying by the river helped us escape  (5)   the hot weather and noise of the city. Every day, my family and I got up early to go   (6)  in the cool water. In the morning, we all took part in a big game. Everybody played,   (7)  my grandparents, parents, brothers and sisters. We enjoyed water-skiing, wakeboarding (水上滑板) and other activities.     In the afternoon, we peacefully read a favorite book under a tree by the river, The days always ended with a campfire (篝火). Everyone sat around the fire, talking and laughing.

Today, we all know that air pollution is bad for people's health.   (1)   not all people know that noise is also a kind of pollution and is bad for humans' health. Tom lived alone and went to a pet store to buy a parrot . He thought the bird might fill his   (1)  hours . The next day ,however, he came back to  (2)   , “ That bird doesn’t talk.”

Robots will   (9)   you to any place you want to visit. Taking the cars will be very   (10)   because the robots will drive them for you wonderfully.

One day, a boy had a fight with one of his classmates. Then he went to his   (1)   and told him his story angrily. “He is really bad,” the boy said, “and I   (2)   him.”

I’m enjoying my staying in Canada. It is my first experience of being abroad, and I am trying to learn as  (1)  as possible. Classes here are much more fun and very different from classes in  (2)  . In China there are very few chances to practice   (2)   and listening, so although many Chinese students know many   (3)   rules, their speaking is not good. Studying English at Fern is much more practical(实践的).  In fact, we   (4)  the language we are learning. I couldn’t speak any English at all when I  (5)  here. Thankfully after about a month, things started getting  (6)  and I made friends and started to settle in (安家). I am really  (7)  to learn English here and Fern is a very good language school.

I have always wanted to have a sister. In my Canadian host family my dream has  (8)  . On the first day when I arrived, my host family welcomed   (9)  warmly. All the family members were  (10)  and helpful, and they made me feel at home at once.

My  (11)  , Joise, is very kind. She often explains their manners to me. Her mother explains ordinary things like housework. Together they  (12)  me study and understand Canada. Joise told me a   (13)  . Last year, she met a Chinese student on a plane. She said she felt sorry because she did not say   (14)   to the girl.

I’m happy to live in Canada. I think it will be an important experience in my life.
