It is not easy for people to travel around the world in quite small boats. Sometimes the weather gets bad.Accidents (事故) can happen easily and quickly.

One family once had an accident. A big fish swam under their boat and bit holes in it. Sea water came in and the boat soon went down. Luckily these people had another small boat——a lifeboat, so they all got into the lifeboat. They lived in the boat for many days. They ate and slept, and always hoped. At last people in a ship saved them.

How do people live in a very small lifeboat for a long time? They must be strong in every way, they must have a hope, and they must have a strong desire (愿望) to live. People cannot drink seawater. If they drink a lot of sea water, they will quickly die. They must catch rainwater and drink it. They must also catch fish and birds for food.Lifeboats do not often carry cookers. So people can not cook their food in the lifeboats. Raw (生的) fish and birds are not very nice but they are their only food. They must eat raw food, or they will die.

Planting flowers is my favorite hobby because I can learn something new from it.

What should we plant in life? If we plant negative thoughts (消极思想) inside our   (9)  , we will feel sad in the future (消极) days; If we plant seeds of hope, we will get   (10)  . Indian scientists have designed a new device*that they hope will solve one of the biggest problems with the use of solar energy. They call the device a solar tree. Solar trees have metal "branches*" which are just from a tall pole at different levels. Each branch holds a solar panel*. These panels have large metal boards that collect energy from the sun and turn it into electricity.
Daljit Singh Bedi is the main scientist at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research in India. Bedi says the shape of the solar trees makes it possible to fit more solar panels in a space than traditional systems do. This means less land would be needed to produce solar energy. "It takes about four square meters of space to produce energy which may need 400square meters of space," he says.
Scientists believe the energy a solar tree collects will be enough to power five homes. The solar tree will make it easier to provide solar energy for homes in cities. The trees will also take less space from farmers in rural areas. Bedi says solar trees will collect more energy than normal solar panels on the tops of buildings. "This design makes the solar panels exposed*more towards the sun," he says. "And that way people are able to use 10to 15percent more energy."
India has promised to reduce its greenhouse gas production. The country's promise depends heavily on increasing solar energy. The cost of solar panels has gone down in recent years.   This has increased the possibility of applying*solar trees in India.
Amit Kumar is the senior director of the Energy and Resources Institute in New Delhi. He says gaining access*to land takes time and increases costs. He adds that it is still not clear how useful these new developments in solar power technology are. "Only when we put those trees on a large scale*will we be able to get that answer," he says.

              B. it surely produces more energy than traditional system

Dreams may be more important than sleep. "Some people don't need much sleep. But we all need to dream," scientists say.
Dreams take up about one quarter of our sleeping time. People have several dreams every night. Dreams are like short films. They are usually in color. Some dreams are like old films. They come to us over and over again. That may be because the dreamer is worrying about something. Dreaming may be a way of trying to find an answer.
Some people get new ideas about their work from dreams. They are thinking about their work all day. These thoughts can appear in dreams.
Sometimes we wake up with a good feeling from a dream. But we often can't remember the dream. Dreams can disappear quickly from memory.
Too much dreaming can be harmful. The more we sleep, the longer we dream. That is why we may have a long sleep but still feel tired.
