              How do astronauts have meals?

Eating in space is different from eating on the earth. The food that astronauts carry with them doesn’t look like the food you eat on the earth.

Some food is carried in closed bags. It is cooked and frozen before the astronauts get it. All the water is removed from the food. In the space capsule(太空舱), the astronaut puts the water back. He “shoots” hot or cold water into the food bag with a special gun. He eats the food through a small hole in the bag.

Other foods come in bite sizes. The astronaut puts a whole piece in his mouth at a time. There can be no crumb(食物碎屑) floating around the capsule. Meat, cakes and cereal often come in bite-sized pieces.

Astronauts can’t drink water from open cups. The water would float in drops in the air. The water is put in the special gun. The astronaut shoots the water into his mouth.

Eating in space is not easy. Astronauts must learn to eat this way.

The world is in great need of fresh water.About 97% of water on Earth is salt water.Man can only drink or use the rest which comes from rivers, lakes and the underground. The number of people in the world is becoming larger and larger,so we need more and more fresh water. Now water shortage (短缺) becomes a big problem. And people are trying their best to find more ways to get fresh water.

Then what can we do about it?Scientists have found some ways to turn salt water into fresh water. One important way is to boil (煮沸) sea water at a high temperature. In this way,we can make a lot of fresh water. But it often costs too much. And heating is not the only way to get fresh water.

People also have other ways, such as digging deep wells (井),keeping rainwater and protecting rivers from being polluted.

Which way is better?I think to get the most fresh water with the least money is the best. And most importantly, everyone should take part in saving water. And itˈs not difficult. We should just try not to waste any water in our everyday life.

What time of day can you think most quickly? Are you a morning person? Or does it take you a few hours to get your brain(大脑)going? A lot of recent research suggests that we should pay attention to our body clock. It can tell us what time of day we can perform best at.

Finally, it is better to eat when we’re active. This allows our body to burn calories(卡路里)better and stops our blood sugar levels(血糖)from getting too high.
