Everyone gets angry. Many things may make you angry. Maybe your teacher gave you too much homework. Or maybe a friend borrowed your favorite book and then lost it. You may get angry when something doesn’t go your way. Maybe you get mad at yourself when your team loses an important game. Or maybe you become a road rager (路怒族) when a driver suddenly cuts in front of you. That makes yo angry! You need to know what to do with your anger. Here are some things you can do do when you feel angry:

Talk to a friend you can trust.

Count to 10.

Take some exercise.

Draw a picture of your anger.

Run around the outside of the house five times as fast as you can.

Sing along with music.

Never getting angry is impossible. But when you are angry, you can do something and it can make things better or worse. Don’t let anger be the boss of you. Take charge of it!

Waste can be seen everywhere in the school. Some students ask for more food than they can eat and others often forget to turn off the lights when they leave the classroom. They say they can afford these things. But I don’t agree with them.

Waste can bring a lot of problems. Although China is rich in some resources(资源), we are short of(缺乏) others, for example, fresh water(淡水). It is reported that we will have no coal(煤) or oil to use in 100 years. So if we go on wasting our resources, what can we use in the future and where can we move? Think about it. I think we should say no to the

students who waste things every day. Everybody should stop wasting as soon as possible.

In our everyday life, we can do many things to prevent waste from happening, for example, turn off the water taps(水龙头) when we finish washing, turn off the lights when we leave the classroom, try not to order more food than we need, and so on. Little by little, everything will be changed. Waste can be stopped one day, if we do our best.

If you go to a fast food restaurant, you will probably see a lot of teenagers (青少年).Today, many teenagers are overweight because of their bad eating habits. Most teenagers love food with a lot of fat(脂肪), oil, salt, and sugar. People often call this kind of food" junk food".  But bad eating habits go beyond(远不止) fast food. We find many teenagers eat unhealthily. Some donˈt have breakfast before they go to school. During the day, some donˈt have a nice meal for lunch. In a survey at one school, scientists found that more than two-thirds(三分之二) of the students didnˈt follow a healthy diet (饮食). They didnˈt like vegetables, and many of them didnˈt like to eat fruits. They liked to eat food with a lot of salt, sugar, or fat. Parents today also worry about their childrenˈs diet. Some doctors give the following advice:

★Teenagers shouldnˈt eat too much junk food. 

★Teenagers shouldnˈt eat food with too much salt.  

★Teenagers should eat food with less fat, oil and sugar.  

★Teenagers need to eat some fruits and vegetables every day. Fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamins(维生素) and have little fat. 

★Teenagers need to eat breakfast every day. This is good for their body and mind. 

★Teenagers need to drink more milk. Milk will help them grow.

We are learning English, but how can we learn English well? A student can know a lot about English, but maybe he can not speak English.

Different people have different dreams and plans for the future. Some of them want to be rich and famous, others dream about having a family. My greatest dream is to be healthy. My second dream is to fly to the USA. I am always interested in that country. I would like to visit my friends there. Besides(另外), I would like to see different places like New York. I like basketball best. I would like to see NBA games and meet NBA players. Of course, I would always like to walk down Manhattan and see the Statue of Liberty.

As for my plans for the future. First of all, I want to pass all the exams in high school and go to college. After college, I want to teach in the school. I think this is my favourite job. And finally, I would like to have my own family. Of course, I want to have a son and a daughter . These are my dreams and plans for the future. I hope they will come true(实现) one day.

Chinais a great country with the largest population in the world. In order to solve the population problem, our government decides to carry out* one-child policy* in 1980. When it is carried out for some time, many people not only see its advantages but also disadvantages. They think that two-child policy should be carried out now. So, the government in China plans to end its one-child per family policy and instead let families have two children. The plan was announced* on Thursday after a meeting in Beijing.

Maggie Ding, 36, a university teacher said that two-child policy should be carried out. First of all, two-child policy is the gift for some only-child families. When their only child grows up and they grow older, their child marries to an only-child girl by accident, the burden on their child and his wife is really heavy. Their child and his wife have to take care of four old people. Usually, it is a little difficult for a young couple to look after an old couple. If the pressure increase twice, how can they stand it? But if their parents have two children, they can share the burden of taking care of their parents. It would be much better. Secondly, two-child policy can guarantee* the number of Chinese population. It is very important for a developing country.

However, there are still some different ideas. “With two kids, you have less money to give them the best,” said Mao Xiaodan, 29, a Beijing nurse who has already has a son. She said she would not have the second baby because of housing prices and the high cost of schooling. “My husband’s friend has twins,” she said, “and just paying for education has nearly worried him a lot”.

Americans with small families own a small car or a large one. If both parents are working, they usually have two cars. When the family is large, one of the cars is sold and they will buy a van(住房汽车)

A small car can hold(容纳)four persons and a large car can hold six persons but it is very crowded(拥挤). A van hold seven persons easily, so a family with three children could ask their grandparents to go on a holiday travel. They could all travel together.

Mr. Hagen and his wife had a third child last year. This made them sell a second car and buy a van. Their sixth and seventh seats are used to put other things, for a family of five must carry many suitcases(衣箱)when they travel. When they arrive at their grandparents’ home, the suitcases are brought into the two seats. Then the van can carry the grandparents.

Americans call vans motor homes. A motor home is always used for holidays. When a family is traveling to the mountains or to the seaside, they can live in their motor home for a few days or weeks. All the members of a big family can enjoy a happier life when they are traveling together. That is why motor homes have become very popular. In America there are many parks for motor homes.
