“Confidence” is probably one of the most noticeable character in Americans. They show confidence in the way they talk and the way they dress. I find it extreme important to be confident as an instructor. As a student, being confident means you should never hesitate to rise your hand whenever a question comes to your mind. Don’t mind if it sounds simple or silly. Therefore you will never get a chance to speak on class at all. Being confident for me means calmly ask the student to repeat what he or she had said if I did not get it. Pretending to understand what you actually did not may just bring you embarrassment. There was a time while my students came to my office and bargained about the grades I had given for his speeches. Modesty is highly valued in China, and it won’t be of much help here if one wants to survive and succeed in a good American graduate program.

It is known to all that we student today have to fix our attention to our lessons, so we know few of society. A holiday is the best time and the best chance to make up for that. How can we help children in poor areas complete his basic education? Since their lack of education mainly result from low family income, to collect money for them is of greatly importance.
