I am very lucky because I enjoy my work very much. I'm a fitness instructor at a gym near where I live. I   (1)   six aerobics (有氧运动) classes a week and also tell my students about   (2)   and nutrition (营养学). As they say,“You are what you   (3)   .”

To be honest, I worry about the   (4)   that many people have today. So many people are overweight. And why? Because they eat the   (5)   foods and they don't do any exercise. When you work in an office all day, I know it is difficult to find   (6)   to keep fit, but you   (7)   need to do 20 minutes a day!

It's also very important to have a   (8)   diet, starting with breakfast in the morning. It's not a good idea to   (9)   breakfast although many of us just have a cup of tea or coffee. Eat as much   (10)   food as possible — lots of fruit and vegetables — and   (11)  not to eat too much fried food. When you don't have much time, it's   (12)   to get a takeaway (外卖), but it certainly isn't very good for you!

One   (13)   that a lot of people feel less than 100% fit is that they don't drink   (14)   water. You need to drink two liters a day — and water   (15)  water, not tea, coffee or sugary drinks.

Keeping fit is fun. However, a lot of people think it's   (16)  to go jogging or cycling. They just want to   (17)   their food. Well, of course, it's fine to have cakes and ice cream,   (18)   not every day! I would say we like what our bodies   (19)   and if you eat more healthy food, over time, you might find yourself wanting to eat them more than anything else. Try it, I think you'll be   (20)   !

University was a new experience for me. I hadgrown up in a small seaside town in the southof England, and suddenly I was  (1)  together withpeople of my age from all over the country. Peoplewere speaking in   (2)  that I had only ever heard onTV, and sometimes using words that I had   (3)  heard before.

I had only been at university for about a weekwhen I   (4)  David Pitman, from Blackburn in thenorth of England. We   (5)  that we both playedtennis, and arranged to meet up one afternoon fora   (6)  .

I went to the sports hall at the time weˈd   (7)  ,and went into the changing rooms. David wasalready there, and I could see that he wasnˈtvery   (8)  . He was searching anxiously for somethinginside his bag. He looked up at me as I   (9)  .

“Iˈve   (10)   my keks,”he said.“You havenˈt gotany, have you?”  (11)  I had no idea what he wastalking about. Tennis balls? Shorts? Trainers? What? I said:“Sorry?”David repeated:“Have yougot any   (12)   keks with you?”

Of course, I could have asked him what theword meant,   (13)   I was tooembarrassed(尴尬的)and didnˈt want tooffend(冒犯) him. David sawthe   (14)  on my face, and said:“You know—keks.Shorts. Tennis shorts.”

Now I   (15)   , and luckily, I did have some   (16)   inmy bag. I lent them to him, we   (17)  , and he won. Then we went to get a   (18)  . The woman at thecanteen asked me what I wanted.“Iˈd like a BlackBeauty, please,”Isaid. (Where I   (19)   , thatˈs colaand ice cream.)“What on earth is that?”said thewoman. I   (20)   knew how she felt.

My mind seems always to return to the day when I met Carl. I got on a bus, and   (1)   a place to sit.   (2)   , I spotted a place to sit near the back.

The occupant (占有者) of the   (3)   next to the one I was going for was an older man. Taking the seat next to the man, I began to read the   (4)   I'd been carrying. The man   (5)  next to me introduced himself by asking if I'd read any other books like the one I was   (6)   holding. When I told him I had, he seemed to become  (7)   , and, to tell the truth, so did I.

His name was Carl. He told me about how he loved jazz music and we   (8)   many stories and a lot of laughs. Carl and I   (9)   a lot of different things. The more we talked, the more   (10)   I became at how much the two of us really had   (11)   , despite (尽管) the age   (12)  . Finally, Carl happily   (13)   at his stop. I haven't seen him since then, but the thought of our   (14)   that day never leaves my mind.

Carl really made me think about how much we can learn from each other   (15)   we just break through the barriers ( 障碍) we've got. I mean, I would have   (16)   thought before that day that I could have anything in common with someone so much   (17)   than I. But Carl   (18)  me that no matter what, we're all just people, and that we should make an extra   (19)   to try and get to know our neighbors and people we see every day. If we all took the time to try to   (20)   each other, I think that the world would be a much better place.

Most stress isinternal(内在的), caused by the wayin which we relate to the world and events and peoplearound ourselves. Stress is   (1)   when there is a disconnectionbetween our   (2)   and our reality. When realityfalls short of an expectation, it   (3)   disappointment andthat causes stress.

For example, let us say you drove your car to worktoday, your car was   (4)   in the nearby parking lot, andyou would leave   (5)   today at 5:00 p.m. You probablyhad an expectation that your car would be right whereyou   (6)   it when you got to the parking lot thisafternoon. Well, what if you were to   (7)   at 5:00 p.m.that your car had   (8)   ? I would imagine most of uswould feel some   (9)   if our car had been stolen!

But, what if you returned to the parking lot thisafternoon and your car was   (10)   where you left it thismorning? You would insert the key and drive away.Would you   (11)   stress over finding your car whereyou left it? No. Because when expectation and reality  (12)  , you donˈt feel stress.

                (13)  most of us will experience those larger   (14)   inlife, they are typically few so that our bodies have a   (15)  tocope(应对) and recover. Rather, it is all thelittle disappointments that will really build up ourstress.

The   (16)   ? Bring your realities up to your expectations. How? Through   (17)   daily planning. Makesure that you plan to do the little things you wantand expect to be done   (18)   all the things you“have-to”do during the day. Build a daily action listthat   (19)   both the“have-toˈs”and the“want-toˈs”.Prioritize(排序) this list andhandle them in theorder of their   (20)   to you.

It's great to be part of a happy family. It is fun to be with people who like you. It is good to feel the   (1)   and the love of the ones who care for you. It is fantastic when you can   (2)   them when you have problems.

                 (3)   , it is also true that things are not always easy. Young people want to  (4)   their own personality. Parents   (5)   think they know better. They find it   (6)   to accept that their son or daughter wants to think differently from how they used to think when they were   (7)  themselves. As a result, young people are often unhappy and believe their parents do not   (8)   them.

Many of my friends would love to be   (9)   of their parents as soon as possible. They would love to have their own place where they can live the life they imagine must be   (10)   . They think that not having a  (11)   who tells them to tidy up their room or get up at a certain time must be paradise(天堂).

How would I   (12)   if I were asked if I wanted to leave home? First of all, there is the financial situation. Having your own flat costs a lot of   (13)   . Secondly, being completely   (14)   also means a lot of responsibility.   (15)   , I admit I like to be reminded of urgent things I have forgotten to do (   (16)   I would never admit that to my parents). And thirdly, if members of a family accept that everybody is an individual and needs a certain amount of   (17)   , life in a family can be great fun.

                  (18)   , I would not like to be on my own too soon. I would say that I am   (19)   living with my family for now and I can   (20)   .
