So (16) ,whether you are in school or (17) ,if you have enthusiasm and if you are (18) to put in consistent effort along with passion, you will receive the (19) .If,on the other hand, you are (20) and prefer to take short-cuts,you should not expect to achieve the same results.

Week by week her list grew: I was very thin; I wasn"t a (2) student; I talked too much; I was too (3) , always feeling superior to(胜过)others, and so on. I tried to hear all this as long as I could. (4) , I became very angry. I ran to my father with (5) in my eyes.

I brought the list back to Daddy. He (15) to take it. "That"s just for you," he said. "You know (16) than anyone else the truth about yourself. But you have to learn

The following true story moved me deeply. I canˈt forget it even many years have passed.

Thirty years ago, I got to know a   (1)    lady named Rose. She had no kids and lived alone.

I was working in a cafe at that time.  (2)   I went to visit her, I always took Rose some coffee and food. One day she said she was inviting me to have  (3)   .

We walked from my work place to a little cafe on David Street.  (4)   the way, I began to worry: I know she had no money, but if I offered to   (5)  the lunch, Iˈm afraid I would hurt her.

There were many people in the  (6)   , and all of them were happy, even the workers. Rose told me to sit and drink coffee by the window. Then she went to  (7)  inthe kitchen. After about 20 minutes, she came out and sat with me. She just paid for one meal and we started to  (8)   the delicious food together. She told   (9)   that the cafe let people work for a meal if they had no money, or would give them a free meal if they were not able to work. To my surprise, she also explained that the workers   (10)   were working there were all volunteers.

I   (11)   remember the beautiful afternoon I shared with Rose.   (12)   we had a meal together only once, it was paid by Roseˈs work. The weather was   (13)  and bright, and everyoneˈs smile was warm and bright as well.

Sometimes life could be not easy to us, but we could still do   (14)   for our friends and neighbors. The world would be   (15)   if everybody would like to share happiness with others. It would never be dark if there was a light in everyoneˈs heart.

When we are born, we are not spoiled. During childhood, we are repeatedly discouraged, criticized, and in some cases, 36. As we grow older, we develop our own  37 of right and wrong. We create a world of our own.

Our brain collects and 38 all visual, auditory(听觉的) information from the moment we are born  39  the smallest of the details. Besides our brain having memory, cells in our body, in billions, have their own 40 . In other words, our body store both physiological and psychological memories. We are complex  41  beings in nature compared to any other living animal.

Apparently, physical and psychological memories strongly influence our emotions! Interestingly, we can create, store, and release emotion like energy. Moreover, if we do not  42  our emotions properly and suppressed(镇压,禁止) for long time, they can find a way out  43 and unexpectedly.

Unfortunately, we carry our guilt throughout our lives effecting ever-increasing burden on our shoulders. We become 44 with guilt and anger for things we could or did not achieve, for things we cannot have, to cite few examples. Obviously, everyone carries his or her own sack of guilt and anger.

One must question our nature of 45 and carrying our guilt and anger until the end. Both guilt and anger are useless for us. Is there a way to 46 the sack from our tiring shoulders? It is possible, indeed. Importantly, since our guilt and anger inside us is neither   47   with nor given attention, they are stored. Actually, we should process and cope with our emotions in order to  48 them from our system. We cannot just wish them away.

In fact, by 49 their presence and providing a channel for them to disappear, we can remove our emotions gradually. Taking drugs or consuming alcohol only 50 situation. Is there a better way to unload our burden? Luckily, we have natural gift to 51 our feeling and emotions.

Indeed, there is no better way than forgiving ourselves. We should learn to 52 forgive others. When we learn to forgive ourselves, we also naturally forgive others.

By forgiving, we can throw away the emotional baggage(行李) we carry for years. Forgive your past mistakes. The moment you start forgiving, you feel 53 and years of heaviness  54  magically! To your surprise, you start feeling energetic and 55 in your daily life. Forgive ourselves.

I was on my way to visit my cousin in Wales. I was driving on the motorway    (1)     somehow I lost control of my car. It ran into a smaller car, with parents and three young children in it.   (2)    , no one was hurt but the experience was very   (3)   .

There was so much     (4)    that my first thought was to just     (5)    my car as fast as I could. I could hear the children from the car behind me    (6)    . When I got out, I could see the mum was trying hard to    (7)    her crying children and move them away from the smoking     (8)   at the same time. I was shocked.

I thought it would be    (9)    that the parents would be angry and upset. But    (10)  0  being angry with me, the mum simply said to me “Come here. You need to join in our hug. ”

Really? I couldn’t    (11)   my ears. It was such a warm gesture from someone whose family had just been    (12)   by me! I felt much    (13)    afterwards.

Meanwhile, the father was getting the children’s     (14)    out of the back of his car because it was freezing outside. When he came back, he asked me if I was okay and then gave me a   (15)    too! I couldn’t believe it! I could see that he was completely shocked and dazed(茫然的)and yet he   (16)   managed this wonderful and warm gesture. To find pity in a moment like that is   (17)  incredible.

Later, I overheard the couple telling their children that the important thing to    (18)    was that they were all okay and unhurt!

The story didn’t stop there… A few hours later, after I reached my cousin’s home, the father  (19)    me to see if I had got home okay and make sure that I was all right.

Incredible people do    (20)   , but to actually meet them, especially during such a frightening moment, was just so incredible.

Two   (8)    walked to Paul and hugged him. They couldn’t walk   (9)   or speak clearly, but their faces were full of   (10)   , and sang the same song.

We talked about our   (11)   and work, and I learned from Paul that his daughters were born as “special children”. They were mentally changed. Their mother   (12)   years ago. Paul was both mother and father to his beautiful daughters. But Paul said he was   (13)    that the little angels were together with him and that   (14)  could stop him from living actively.

That night, we   (15)   a lot and his happy smiles made my anger and   (16)    fade. I forgot how many times I   (17)   about my life and my work. But Paul’s life was a(n)   (18)   to me. The man smiled at his life and treated any trouble as a    (19)   of life. I owe my thanks to Paul, for he taught me to deal ·with life   (20)   and move on.
