According to the ADAA (Anxiety and Depression Association of America), 40 million adults in the US suffer from anxiety disorders. So, if you believe you are suffering from anxiety, you are far from alone. Here are some great ways of dealing with anxiety.

The ADAA says that practising yoga (瑜伽) can be a good way to calm your nerves. You can relax yourself by listening to music or exercising. Sometimes, when you step away from the problem that is causing you to be anxious and do something to get your mind away from it, it can actually help reduce the anxiety. Give yourself some time to concentrate on something else.

The website, Psychcentral.com, suggests you take a deep breath when you begin to feel anxious. Many doctors agree that taking a deep breath can be a powerful reducer of anxiety. It’s said to activate (使加快) the body’s relaxation response (反应). I have found that this has worked for me most of the time. Breathe in deeply through your nose and let it out through your mouth, as if practicing yoga.

The professionals from the ADAA say that the intake (摄入) of caffeine has been known to increase anxiety. I know it might be hard, but if you’re suffering from anxiety, skip that cup of coffee and have some water instead.

The ADAA says that a great way to cope with anxiety is to exercise. It will help you remain healthy physically and mentally. Also, it’s a way to get your mind away from worries. Many doctors suggest running at a regular time to cope with anxiety.

Talking about your worries with a person you believe in can be a great way to take a bit of the weight of anxiety off us. Talk with your friends and family members about what you’re experiencing. You may find that some of them have even dealt with the same worries. Sometimes just taking different attitudes towards your worries can help reduce them.

These methods have worked for me and for others that I know. However, some anxiety can be harder to deal with, so it’s important to ask for help if your anxiety continues.

Maybe you are an average student. You probably think you will never be a top student. This is not necessary so, however. Anyone can become a better student if he or she wants to. Here’s how.

Plan your time carefully. When you plan your week, you should make a list of things that you have to do. After making this list, you should make a schedule of your time. First your time for eating, sleeping, dressing, etc. then decide a good, regular time for studying. Don’t forget to set aside enough time for entertainment. but it will force you to realize what is happening to your time.

Find a good place to study. Look around the house for a good study area. Keep this space, which may be a desk or simply a corner of your room, free of everything but study materials. No games, radios, or television! When you sit down to study, concentrate on the subject.

Make good use of your time in class. Take advantage of class time to listen to everything the teachers say. Really listening in class means less work later. Taking notes will help you remember what the teacher says.

Study regularly. When you get home from school, go over your notes. Review the important points that your teacher mentioned in class. If you know what your teacher is going to discuss the next day, read that material will become more meaningful, and you will remember it longer.

Develop a good attitude about tests. The purpose of a test is to show what you have learned about a subject. They help you remember your new knowledge. The world won’t end if you don’t pass a test, so don’t be overly worried.

There are other methods that might help with your studying. You will probably discover many others after you have tried these.

Finland is an innovative (创新的)country when it comes to education. It's consistently one of

the highest performing developed countries on the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA), an important tool for measuring education systems worldwide. Here are some things Finland does differently — and arguably better — than the US when it comes to education.

              1  Better standardized tests

Finnish students only take one standardized test during their entire primary and secondary

schooling. By contrast, the US, driven by No Child Left Behind requires students in third through eighth grade to take annual standardized tests to track their performance. Critics claim constant testing doesn't make students any smarter but instead creates a "teaching to the test" environment in schools.

              2  More time for play

Students in Finland spend relatively little time on homework, according to the Organization

for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Finnish students spend 2.8 hours a week on homework. This contrasts noticeably from the 6.1 hours American students spend per week. Finns place a lot of value on free time and play. This "deficit of play" for American students may lead to additional anxiety and other mental health issues, the psychologist and research professor Peter Gray has written.

              3 College is free

In Finland, not only are bachelor degree programs completely free of tuition fees, so are

master and doctoral programs. Students pursue higher education goals without the mountains of

student loan debt that many American students face. And the same goes for foreign students. Tuition is free for any student accepted into a college or graduate program in Finland.

              4  Elevated teaching profession

In Finland, teaching is one of the most revered professions with a relatively high barrier to

entry. Only one in 10 students who apply to teacher education programs are admitted. Teachers in Finland are treated like professors at universities, and they teach fewer hours during the day than US teachers, with more time devoted to lesson planning. What’s more, they also get paid slightly more in Finland. The average teacher in the US makes about $ 41,000 a year, compared to $ 43,000 in Finland, according to OECD data.

As the Internet has become widely used, the online bookstore has gained much popularity with consumers, which have a vital influence on the survival of many private small—and medium—sized physical bookshops, a cultural landmark in the cities in China.

Apart from a campaign, “saving physical stores”, many Chinese politicians and scholars have also urged the government to adopt measures to prevent bookstores from closing down their businesses, because unlike shops selling other goods, physical bookstores play the important social role of passing down knowledge and culture to younger generations.

Besides tax cut, the government should also take other measures to support and encourage the development of such bookstores.

Online bookshops are popular because they offer customers easier access to books, more attractive prices, and delivery service. Readers can buy almost any book sitting at home.

Physical bookstores have actually become “the exhibition halls” of online bookstores. People read and select books in physical bookstores, and then buy them from online bookstores.

However, physical bookstores have their own advantages. The physical bookstores make people feel the existence of culture. Entering a bookstore is like absorbing various elements of culture. For example, they offer the choice of feeling a real book rather than just the chance to see the cover and read a few introductory lines.

But they can also offer lower prices, sales promotions and better service, and organize readers’ club and other activities to attract more booklovers. A citywide delivery service could make it more convenient for readers to buy books from them. Moreover, the physical book stores can make use of new technologies to improve their services, develop their online sales and expand their business.

Although she didn’t know the best way of getting to places, she insisted that she organize the trip properly. Now I know that the proper way is always her way. So I told her that the source of the Mekong is in Qinghai Province. She gave me a  (4)  look---the kind that said she would not change her mind. When I told her that our journey would begin at an altitude of more than 5,000 metres, she seemed to be excited about it. When I told her the air would be hard to breathe and it would be very cold, she said it would be an interesting experience. I know my sister well.  (5)  she has made up her mind, nothing can change it.

My life is a lot easier at high school because my   1  students have accepted me. The few who cannot see the real person inside my body do not make me  2.

I have a very busy life with no time to  3 feeling sorry for myself.  4 going to the movies and football matches with my friend, I spend a lot of time with my pets. I have two rabbits, a parrot, a tank full of fish and a tortoise. To look after my pets  5 takes a lot of time but I find it worthwhile. I also have to do a lot of work, especially if I have been away for a while.

This morning when I got in my car to go to work I made a promise. I promised that I would try my best   66   (become) a better person. However, as soon as I got on the freeway I found that people on the road were driving so crazily,   67   made me mad and impatient. A car in front of me stopped   68   (sudden) , so I had to brake to avoid crashing into it.

At that moment a string of angry words entered my mind.   69   of my hands rose in preparation for sounding my horn(喇叭)! My other hand prepared to make   70   rude gesture at the driver.

But something kept me   71   behaving that way. I remembered my promise. So I asked   72   , “Would all the things I am going to do help me become a better person?” The answer was “no”. On the other hand, I knew that   73   (practice) patience and self-control would help, so I managed to keep calm.

I   74   (cut) off by three more cars before I arrived at my company,

75   each time I smiled instead of complaining as usual. I’m already feeling like a better man.
