              Le Val de Cantobre,Aveyron (France)

It’s in the grounds of a medieval house. There’s a swimming pool, a river and a pizza restaurant. The scenery (景色) around the park is beautiful and great for walking. A week’s stay will cost you about €280.

For more information please go to www.eurocamp.co.uk.

Four Seasons Tented Camp, Golden Triangle (Thailand)

This must be one of the best campsites (野营地) in the world. Instead of tents, there are “canvas cabins (帆布船舱)”. And there’s a gourmet restaurant, a spa and a pool. There are only 15 of cabins to rent so you’ll have to book early. The campsite can only be reached by river boat, but once there you can learn to ride an elephant. Unfortunately, it isn’t cheap, and two nights at the Four Seasons will cost youabout €1,500!

For more information please go to www.Fourseasons.com/goldentriangle.

              Three Cliffs Bay, Gower (Wales)

The Three Cliffs Bay is in a beautiful part of the country, and it won’t cost you much either: a family tent (2 adults, 2 children) is about €28 a day. There’s a camp shop where you can buy food and drinks, and there are pubs and restaurants nearby so you won’t even have to cook. You can water-ski from the  beach, or go walking along the Gower Way.

For more information please go to www.Threecliffsbay.com.

Longitude 131, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park (Australia)

Situated in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, near the massive (巨大的) red rock formerly known as Ayer’s Rock, this is more like a hotel than a campsite. There’s a restaurant, a pool and even a library. The only problem is that it’s a bit expensive — around €1,500 a night.

For more information please go to www.Longitude131.com.au.

Traveling is a very good activity. When you are fed up with your work and when you can get a holiday, you can go to the beautiful spots to enjoy the beauty of nature and the special character of other cities. You can breathe fresh air, visit some places of interest, meet different people and make friends with them. If you do so, you will forget your tiredness and troubles and build up your health. As a result, you will feel fully relaxed and you will have the energy to undertake the new tasks waiting for you.

But sometimes, traveling is not an enjoyable thing. For example, when the bus or car you take has a bad accident, you just sit in and waste your time. What’s more, the weather can be changeable. If you are climbing a mountain, it may rain suddenly. You may be caught in the rain and may catch a cold. The worst thing is that you may have your money stolen and you may have an injury. All these are terrible things that can happen to a tourist.

Therefore, when you are going on a trip, you must prepare yourself carefully. Firstly, you must have clear information about the weather. Secondly, you should choose a good companion so that you can help each other. Thirdly, you must be careful everywhere and try to avoid accidents. If you do this, you’ll surely enjoy your travels and avoid any unnecessary trouble.

Planning a visit to the UK? Here we help with ways to cut your costs.

STAY AWAY FROM THE STATION If traveling to your destination by train, you may want to find a good base close to the station, but you could end up paying more for the sake of convenience at the start of your holiday.

Don't be too choosy about the part of town you stay in. Booking two months in advance, the cheapest room at Travelodge's Central Euston hotel in London for Saturday 22 September was £95.95. A room just a tube journey away at its Covent Garden hotel was £75.75. And at Farringdon, a double room cost just £62.95.

LOOK AFTER YOURSELF Really central hotels in cities such as London, Edinburgh and Cardiff can cost a fortune, especially at weekends and during big events. As an alternative consider checking into a self-catering flat with its own kitchen. Often these flats are hidden away on the top floors of city central buildings. A great example is the historic O'Neill Flat on Edinburgh's Royal Mile, available for £420 for five days in late September, with room for four adults.

GET ON A BIKE London's 'Boris bikes' have attracted the most attention, but other cities also have similar programs that let you rent a bicycle and explore at your own pace, saving you on public transport or car parking costs.

Among the smaller cities with their own programs are Newcastle (casual members pay around £1.50 for two hours) and Cardiff (free for up to 30 minutes, or £5 per day).

The California State Railroad Museum (CSRM) in Old Sacramento totals 100, 000 square feet. Completed at a cost of $ 16.1 million, the museum opened in May 1981. It houses 21 aid locomotives (火车头) and cars, some dating back to 1820. Here, visitors can learn a lot about railroad history in California and the West in America.

                 Hours & Tickets

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (except on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day). Tickets are sold until 4:30 p.m., $12 adults, $6 students, children aged 5 and under are free.

                 Parking

A small number of metered parking spaces are available on the streets of Old Sacramento. However, these spaces are not for guests visiting longer than 90 minutes. Over 90-minute or all-day parking is available in large public garages at both ends of Old Sacramento.

                 Food service

The Silver Palace Restaurant in the Central Pacific Railroad Passenger Station serves good food at the right prices. It is just one block southwest of the main entrance to the museum. There are many other restaurants throughout Old Sacramento.

                 Other Offerings

Guided tours and films about the museum are offered daily. There many other chances at the museum, too, including some historical attractions within Old Sacramento State Historic Park.

Hi, everyone! I am Paul Hawking, the trip leader for this weekend's activity.

It's that time of the year again when the days are long and it is nice to sit outside and enjoy some oysters (牡蛎).

We plan to head out to the  Mission Bay this Sunday for a beach picnic. You can buy fresh oysters at the Mission Bay Oyster Company and you just need to pay $6 to $10 for each dozen, depending on the size. It's on Sunday, June 30.

We will meet at the  Student Center at 9:00 a.m. and all go together. The driving time is one and a half to two hours, and the time of return is still uncertain. Come and join us in what must now be the 4th or 5th such trip for the Outing Club.

The oyster farm has a small picnic area with chairs and barbecue grills (烧烤架). Bring some briquettes (煤球) if you would like to grill. Except for oysters, oysters and oysters, little is available there, so please bring your own food and drinks. And of course, if you have any special oyster recipes (食谱), bring them, make them and share them!

The weather forecast says it's going to be sunny and around 26℃ this weekend. My telephone number is 408-896-3228. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions. Remember to finish your homework before we leave for the picnic.

Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, is a lively city that is home to many different types of tourist attractions. In its early stages, the city grew as the agricultural and mining (采矿) industries grew, until it developed into the cultural city that it is today. It is also the third largest city in Australia.

Brisbane is a river city, although close to the coast, with the Brisbane River running through it. It is surrounded by hills and full of bridges. It is also very easy to get to a number of attractions such as the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast from Brisbane.

Brisbane has a number of theatres including the Lyric Theatre, Cremorne Theatre and the Playhouse Theatre which are part of the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in South Bank.

The area of South Bank is popular with visitors and locals especially for its relaxed parkland and man-made beach area which is popular with all ages. During the evening this area is very popular for romantic walks and the many shows.

Another place that is very popular with visitors especially young people is the suburb (郊区) of Fortitude Valley. It is home to the amazing China-town, great restaurants, popular nightclubs and bars and so on. It’s not a suburb for those who like peace and quiet.

Brisbane is a great place to cycle, with wonderful tracks (自行车道) near and along the river. If you get tired along the way you can always get on a bus or the City Cat (central area transport service). You’d better avoid the time of day when most people are traveling to or from work, because you won’t be allowed on with a bike at that time.

Brisbane offers plenty of things to do with activities and tours such as hot air ballooning, rock climbing, and even climbing the Brisbane Story Bridge. For more information about Brisbane tours, please click here.

If you like traveling, Europe is the best choice. It is home to many cultural treasures. Lonely Planet, the world’s largest travel guide publisher, has offered pairs of cities for culturehungry but timepoor travelers.

              London and Paris

It takes you about two hours to travel from London to Paris by Eurostar, a highspeed railway service. The two capital cities have been competing in fashion, art and nightlife for years-but each secretly looks up to the other.

No one can doubt the beauty of Paris' Louvre Museum, but if you want to save money, you cannot miss the British Museum free to visit. Compared with London, Paris has more outdoor attractions such as the beautiful green walkway La Promenade Plantee.

In Paris, you'll see diners linger over red wine. While in London, you can try some afternoon tea, eat fish and chips or salted cake.

              Vienna and Bratislava

Austrian capital Vienna and Slovakia city Bratislava are an hour apart by train. But since they are linked by the Danube River, the best way to travel is by ship. A tour of the two cities is the perfect way to experience everything from 17th century’s Habsburg dynasty splendor(雄伟) to scifi restaurants.

Vienna is famous for Mozart and imperial palaces. You can appreciate the perfect blending of architecture and nature in the grand Schonbrunn Palace, and reward yourself with a cup of Vienna coffee, which has made its way to the world's cultural heritage(文化遗传) list.

Bratislava is best known for its fine dining-the remarkable UFO restaurant. You can enjoy a meatladen dinner here in an amazing setting.

I’m a travel lover. I think it is very exciting to go to new places, experience different situations and see new things. Here’s what I have come up with about why my travel is so interesting.

To start with, whether we know it or not, every day is filled with anxiety about things that we don’t need to worry about in the first place. Going to new places is a good chance to escape from our everyday worries. For example, after a whole day at work, I’m often physically and mentally tired and start to worry about things. However, the moment I get on the train or bus to my next destination(目的地) I forget all my tiredness and worries.

Next is one of the most important things in travel: movement. I always take along books to read on my train trips, but in the end, only about five pages or so ever get read, because I just look at things out of the window. Just the ability to move is very enjoyable. Movement also means that we are going to new places and seeing new things. But why is that important? Because experiencing new situations, people and ideas can help us to learn about new things and grow. I have never gone on a trip and come back as the same person; I have always changed and grown through travel.

So take every type of trip you can, at every chance you get, and you will not only experience more of the world, but will become a happier person with rich experiences.
