So glad that you are interested in my new flat. Now I would like tell you something about it. Locating in the north of the city, this Residential Center is small with only six building. My flat, which covers the area of 36 square meters, is in the fourth floor in Building 2. It consisted of a sitting room, a bedroom, a kitchen and a toilet. When you enter into the flat, you will find yourself in the sitting room. The sitting room is the part that I like best, because it is brightly with a lovely balcony, which I can enjoy the beautiful garden below. Although my flat is small, I like them very much because it is comfortable.

I remember that during the summer holidays, the weather was hot and I could not do many work, but I lived happy. In the morning I usually get up early and took a walk in the garden. After breakfast, I began read English and did some exercises in math. I worked hardly and made a great progress. I spent nearly the whole afternoon outside. I went swimming on the river and didn’t come back when it was about five or six. Sometimes a friend of me would come to see me and we would spend some hours listening to music. In this way I spent my holidays happily. I not only studied well and but also became a good swimmer.

Ladies and gentlemen,

    Itˈs my honor to give a speech here. After-class activities play a important part in our school life. Proper activities help enrich our lives, broaden our horizons or develop our personalities.

    Mine own experience can serve as a case in point. When I was in Senior one, I become a member of our drama club, that I used to visit on weekends. Since my participation in various activities organizing by the club, I achieved a lot.

    These activities bring me a lot of funs, provide me with good opportunities to develop new friendships and open a window through which I have a brand-new outlook. With so much advantages shown above, why not to join us at once?

During the summer holidays this year, I thought I should do anything meaningful instead of staying at home, so I was got a job at a restaurant, worked there as a cleaner. I worked seven hour a day for three weeks. The job was hard and bored and seemed endless, which made me so tired that I nearly gave it in half way, but I stuck to it with determination. Every day I started off for work early in the morning and got home lately in the evening. Finally I finished the job before the new term begins. Now, I understand that labor means. I think it is really successful experience.
