Recently I paid a visit to Harvard University, where there are top class scientists and professors and the best academic system in the world.

I was pretty   (1)  when I first stepped onto the campus. Well, itˈs not even really a campus. Itˈs  (2)  like a district in a small town.

Harvardˈs main buildings are from the 18th century, They look very old and   (3)  . You might   (4)  say theyˈre a little shabby. They donˈt fit the modern  (5)   of university at all. The buildings are surrounded by  (6)  and trees, so I felt as if I had walked into a medieval (中世纪的) castle. But when I looked across the street,   (7)  shops and in-fashion students made me feel like I was in the 21st century  (8)   . It creates a strong contrast and brings a special   (9)   to the school.

Our tour  (10)  Gary took us around and told us, "You see this grass field in the center of the school? Here is where they hold their  (11)   ceremony. They just set up tents and benches and have a very simple ceremony.” Itˈs   (12)   ! Who would think the most talented students just graduate on the grass?

I   (13)  some students put a blanket on the grass and lie down to read a book. When I listened to the soft sound of   (14)   turning, along with chirping of the birds, I felt very  (15)  . There was no competitive feeling at all.

Harvard has the worldˈs first computer in its science centre  (16)   there are hundreds of high-end computers, too. Its religion and the literature departments are also  (17)   the best. It is the perfect mix of tradition and   (18)   technology. It makes Harvard a very attractive place to  (19)  in. I hope one day Iˈll   (20)  my dream school -- Harvard.

During the month I spent studying in England last summer, one day stood out. I was only 16 and I had been wandering on the streets of London. The freedom was great,   (1)   for someone who had lived in a small town all her life, the city represented a world of   (2)  .

This was not my first   (3)   to London. A year earlier, I had been there with my mother, trying to   (4)   the major attractions in three days. That trip was wonderful but   (5)  . This time I was grateful to be able to enjoy the atmosphere and   (6)  .

My friend and I discussed where we should go, and then decided to go cycling. This   (7)  us to Covent Garden, home of the giant Doc Marten’s store and trendy cafes. The market area is one of my favorite places in London. It’s a great place to   (8)  : You can find everything from the latest fashions to souvenirs that can   (9)   be found in England. The street   (10)  , from classical musicians to magicians, were out in large numbers. Many tourists   (11)   to watch them. I did not linger (逗留) because I was   (12)   just to feel the activity in the street rather than become a   (13)   of it.

At sunset, we headed to the Thames River. The river itself is   (14)   special to look at; the   (15)   often appears muddy, and no one would like to swim in it.   (16)  , the view makes the visit   (17)  . From there, you can enjoy those famous architectures: the Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament, St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Tate Modern Museum.

As I stood on the bridge appreciating my   (18)  , I realized what an incredibly rich history the city had. Over the next hundred years, the city may change as older buildings will probably   (19)   bigger ones, but certain elements will   (20)  .

If you have a little child, who hates sitting in a child car seat, then the Freedom Ride is the answer to your problem.

Would you want to be   (1)   in an unchangeable position every time you’re in the car. No. You Wouldn’t!

When a  (2)  sits in a car for any length of time, we stretch, we change the position, we move our legs, and shift   (3)  . We do this automatically, and without   (4)  . But kids in a traditional car seat can’t do this. They are stuck in one position, and they   (5)   move. We move because the   (6)   of blood needs to be restored in our legs as we sit in the   (7)   position for any extended length of time.

In a traditional car seat, the child can’t move to   (8)   the pain, so it   (9)   them in a bad mood.

The Freedom Ride lets them have a little   (10)  , and still be safe. The 5-point harness gives them additional safety   (11)   a traditional child car seat.

I am the Webmaster for islandbreeze.com, and   (12)   Joey Safe asked us to redo their web site, I was   (13)   by this system. That is because I have two small children, and we obviously   (14)   car seats. I live in Southern California, and every   (15)   of months, my wife, the girls and I, go to see grandma who lives in Nevada. It’s a 5-hour drive, so the Freedom Ride   (16)   well. Our trips are so much better now, especially, since there is   (17)   room in the car without the car seats.

The Freedom Ride really did   (18)   it easier to go on trips. The only thing you need when you use the Joey Safe   (19)   your old child seat is a pillow.   (20)  , my kids want to take a pillow anyway! As a dad, I feel safe driving with the kids in the Freedom Ride.

When July comes, children know they’ll have their examination and the school year will end soon. Boys and girls will have a nearly two   (1)  holiday, and they’ll leave school   (2)    train or by car to     (3)    to see their fathers and mothers. The summer holidays are the      (4)     time of the year for most children. The weather is usually good, so one can    (5)   most of his time playing outside.    (6)   one lives in the country, he can  (7)     into the woods and in the fields. If one lives in a big town, he can    (8)   go to a park to play.

The best place for a summer holiday is the    (9)    . Some children are   (10)    enough to live near the sea. But for   (11)    who do not, if they have the chance to stay at one of the big seaside towns for a week or two,    (12)   will talk about it all the following school year. Now,    (13)    makes the children like the seaside so much? I think it is the  (14)   , the sea and the sun, not   (15)   else. Of course, there are    (16)    new things to see, nice things to eat, and    (17)   things to do. But the feeling of the sand under their feet of the  (18)   water on their skin, and   (19)   of the warm sun on their backs make   (20)    happier.

            • 10. On Dec.13,2014,Nubia Wilson turned 16.But instead of (1) with an exciting Sweet 16birthday party, the California teen devoted this milestone to (2) the lives of orphans in Ethiopia.
Through several summers of volunteer work at an Ethiopia orphanage,Nubia learned firsthand the severe poverty so many children (3) .In an email to The Huffington Post,Nubia said that she was (4) struck by the children"s lack of access to (5) -their school only went through the fourth grade.
Over the course of her volunteer work,Nubia became interested in one (6) ,Hermela. She writes:
Out of the many students in the kindergarten class,Hermela became (7) and attached to me to a point where it was becoming (8) for both of us to leave each other. She is now in the second grade. The thought of Hermela not being able to have her meal and (9) education after the fourth grade became (10) and I knew I had to do something.
That"s when Nubia decided that she didn"t want a traditional Sweet 16. (11) ,she wanted to use the money her parents would have spent on a party to establish (12) grade class for Hermela and other kids.
"The money could provide a(n) (13) solution that will serve for many years compared to the one-day (14) of my party,"Nubia wrote to Huffpost Live.In short,I want Hermela to continue (15) ."
After telling friends and family her (16) ,Nubia set up a(n) (17) page"Keep Hermela Smiling"on CrowdRise. Her (18) will raise funds for the Fregenet Foundation, which funds education and community services in Ethiopia.
So far,Nubia has (19) $2,781 of her$10,000 goal.Nubia says that her parents have been extremely (20) ; they"re selling most of their Ethiopian artifacts to help raise funds.
              Nubia"s birthday may not have been a party,but it"s truly a celebration.
