Tests can be worrying even for the most prepared students. When some students take tests, their minds don't work as well as usual. They may experience something called test anxiety (焦虑), which can have a negative influence on their performance. Well, the following tips can help you pass your next test more easily and achieve more success!
              Get Enough Sleep
6 hours of sleep or less can slow your mind and thus has negative effects on your performance on tests, even if you spend those missed hours of sleep studying. So, it's very important for you to get a good night of sleep before your big day.
              Study Smarter
How do you study ‘smarter'? Make a list of the things you need to learn in order of importance. That way, if you don't have enough time, you can still hit the items at the top of the list. Make a list of all the work you have to do, judge how much time each item will take, and compare that with the number of hours you have available; this will tell you whether you can read carefully or just skim, how much time you can spend checking papers, and tell you other ways to pace yourself so you can get everything done. If your time is still limited, it's important to learn to let go of being perfect.
              Visualize (想象) Success
Before you fall asleep each night, it is a great way to visualize yourself taking the tests and doing wonderfully. Detailed visualizations can help you feel like you're really experiencing something,and visualizing yourself doing well is a way to ‘practice' success in a way that can help you perform better and feel confident. Visualizations can also help you to remember the facts.
              Stay Calm
Anxiety can harm your memory, so it's important to stay calm before and during tests. While that's easier said than done, there are several techniques that can help you calm down quickly whenever you feel nervous. For example, breathing exercise has been shown by research to reduce test anxiety, and can be very effective in helping you relax: just take deep breaths and let the anxiety come out.
How to deal with your test anxiety
              (1) ______
              to test anxiety
Students feel nervous before or during tests even though they have made good (2) ______

A farming game becomes popular on the Internet as users get up in the morning to steal crops and fruit from their friends’ farms and become the kings of virtual (虚拟的) farming.

Just like the farm game “kaixin 001” in Chinese. Users can plant crops, and raise chickens and sheep, and the harvest can be sold and exchanged for experience points to increase the attraction. Players can sneak into (潜入) their friends’ farms and steal crops. The more practiced a user gets in planting crops, the more virtual money he or she can make. That makes it much more fun than just killing time on the Internet.

Now more city white collars, young office ladies in particular, are going online to live a country life. ________ that they set the alarm for an early rise every day, when they start up the computer and go farming. If they overslept, their fields would turn into a tourist farm where anyone takes whatever he or she wants. They can use a virtual network to plant, water crops, get rid of pests, harvest and sell their crops, and they can raise chickens and cows, and buy dogs to guard the farm. The whole process is much more interesting than electronic chickens, and seeing the results of their own hard work pile in the storage offers some kind of satisfaction in an otherwise boring daily life.

              (1) List what users can do in the farmer. (Please answer within 15 words.)

              (4) Which sentence in the passage can be replaced by the following one?

Compared with wasting some time on line, the game is more interesting.

              (5) Why do white collars, especially young office ladies like the game? (Please answer within 15 words.)

Drugs are harmful and addictive. But young children may not know this. Use this guide to help teach your children to avoid drugs.

Make sure that what you tell your children is true. If you tell them that marijuana(大麻)can kill them, but in fact it can’t, then when they find out the truth, they will be hurt that you lied to them, and will no longer believe other things you tell them.

Never order them not to take drugs. This is especially important to older kids and teenagers. Most teenagers go through the stage of rebellion. When you forbid them to do something, it only makes them want to do it more. Tell them that drugs can be harmful and addictive and that they can ruin their life, but don’t forbid them to take drugs.

Do your best to build your children’s confidence and help them out of trouble. Adult drug addicts often had troubled childhoods or an extremely traumatic experience in their younger years, such as a divorce or death in the family. Many teenagers take drugs because they are unwilling to face problems and want to escape in this way. Encourage your children to overcome difficulties and make sure your children know that you love them.

Tell your children to stop spending time with friends who take drugs because children usually can’t resist temptation(诱惑) or they have to take drugs because of peer pressure. But you shouldn’t force them to do that. Being controlling and overprotective by keeping your children out of their social situations will only cause them to lose respect for you and mistrust your judgment. Remember that the choice is always theirs, and controlling their life will only make them more likely to use drugs to escape.

              (1) What will happen if parents tell a lie to children about drugs?(No more than 8 words)
_____________________________________________________________________________ (2) Why shouldn’t parents order children to keep away from drugs?(No more than 12 words)

I have a friend called Joe. We grew up in the same little town, and I went to school with him. He has an older brother called Frank who was severely disabled. As these two brothers grew up, Joe got married, had a family, and moved into an old house. Frank lived with his mother until her health failed.
