Some time ago, I was diagnosed with cancer. The first thing (1) came to my mind was a“death sentence”. However, I found out later it was truly“an awakening”for me.
(2) of complaining about the unhappiness of my life, I decided to face (3) with a positive attitude. I knew that I was about to face (4) new beginning, and see with a new perspective on life. I also began to think of the others that are always (5) (badly) off than I am. Who am I to complain? I still have my life.
During my treatments, I experienced something of a miracle. I took that experience and turned it into a poem and I called it Peace. I took that poem, along with many others I (6) (write) during my cancer period and submitted them for publication. The book of poems (7) (accept) and published under the title True Simple Poems of Life, Faith and Survival. I never dreamed of becoming a writer, (8) I just became one. I continue to write and hope that my poetry may help others in similar conditions. My writing continues to give me (9)(strong).
I would never have become a writer, (10) (produce) inspirational stories, if I had not gone through all that I did. It won’t all be easy, but you must have faith and allow that faith to direct your path. Trust yourself and have the optimistic spirit to face the future life, whatever a tragedy you may face.
