The most unforgettable thing during my long summer holiday last year, of course was my trip   (1)   England. This was my first time to go abroad, so it really made me   (2)  .

There are quite a lot of interesting places in England,   (3)   Oxford. When we walked around Oxford, we saw quite a lot of ancient buildings on   (4)   sides of the streets. One of the most famous tourist   (5)   in Oxford is Christ(基督) Church, and it’s   (6)   one of Oxford University’s 29 colleges. There is a huge hall in Christ Church,   (7)   was used as the dining hall at Hogwarts in the Harry Potter   (8)  .

I felt really excited when I heard this.

  (9)   place that impressed me   (10)   during my trip was a place called Stratford-upon-Avon. It is a small town. Maybe you haven’t   (11)   it, but I’m sure

you have heard about William Shakespeare and it’s the great man’s   (12)  . In Stratford-upon-Avon, I could   (13)   Shakespeare’s birthplace, Shakespeare Countryside Museum, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, and a lot of places that are connected with   (14)  . 

I went to Shakespeare’s birthplace. It was the house   (15)   Shakespeare was born and   (16)   his early years.  (17)   sitting room, hallway(走廊), bedrooms, and kitchen were furnished(布置) in sixteenth-century   (18)  . I also went to see the Shakespeare Exhibition. It illustrated(以图解说明) Shakespeare’s life and career in both Stratford and London.

I really enjoyed this nice trip to England,   (19)   I learnt a lot. I’m very happy that I could visit such an interesting   (20)  . I want to go there again in the future.

I visited Egypt for the first time in April this year.   41  I spent only 3 days in Sinai, it left me a   42  impression. Away from famous tourist spots ofCairoandLuxoron the mainland, Mount Sinai proved that Egypt’s attractions are not only   43  to pyramids. Sinai is known for its desert landscape, where rocks and sand  44  the scenery and little life seems to    45 inits deadly dry environment.

   With excitement, I   46  my climb on my own at midnight, hoping to catch sight of the  47  over the desert. Bathed in the glow of a full moon, there was a peaceful hush(安静) that surrounded the mountain. Only the sound of the wind   48  me during the four-hour climb, but I  49  felt horrible. The landscape was rocky, but the path was  50  enough and well-trodden (常到的) by tourists over the years.

   Halfway up the mountain, I    51  agroup of 30 Muslims who were making their way to the top as part of their pilgrimage(朝圣). We    52 inEnglish and I found out that most of them were in their thirties or forties, and expressed a strong determination to do the climb for their  53 .

   Before sunrise, I reached the summit, but it was far too  54  for me to stay outside waiting,  55  I was wearing 3 thick clothes.  During a recent holiday I visited Dusseldorf, a city in the former West Germany. The nine-day trip left a deep impression  (1)     me. I arrived at Dussedorf airport at 7 pm. It was already    (2)   outside. The first thing I needed to do was to find a place to   (3)   . I decided to telephone the youth hotel. But to use the phone I needed some   (4)      , I asked a lady for help. To my    (5)    she gave me three coins to use. But all the phones in the     (6)     needed phone cards. And phone cards could only be bought at post offices during the   (7)    . I was    (8)      I would not be able to call the hotel. An old gentleman helped me. He showed me where the phone was and inserted    (11)     phone card．I called the youth hotel and found a place to stay that night.

It surprised me that    (16)      every young German could speak English fluently. Older Germans couldnˈt speak English very well, but they would try to help me   (17)   they could．One middle-aged man I asked for directions even   (18)     me to the place I was looking for.

I took a wonderful trip with my family when I was 10 years old. I   (1)   it well. My aunt, uncle and cousins lived on a small farm in the   (2)  outside Rome and they invited us to   (3)  them. Can you imagine a sea of sand three times bigger than India? This is the Sahara desert(沙漠), the largest desert in the world. In the Sahara,  are very  (1)   different during the day and at night.
