Since the popularity of smartphones, people spend lots of time on their phones, either messaging other people,   (1)   news, or playing games.   (2)   I think cellphones have made life more   (3)  , I don’t think spending a lot of time on cellphones is a good idea.

First, spending too much time on cellphones may   (4)   cancer. Scientific studies have   (5)   that low levels of radiation are given off from the batteries(电池) of cellphones. Not only that, but phones are constantly using microwaves to send and   (6)   information. Since many people use their cellphones near their heads, long time exposure could eventually lead to some very   (7)   and unhealthy effects.

Secondly, when people spend too much time on their cellphones, they   (8)   on the things going on around them. This has been proven over and over again by   (9)   who use their phones while in their cars. This has been such a major cause of car   (10)  , because drivers are too distracted by their phones to   (11)   the road, that most states in the U.S. have banned the   (12)   of cellphones while driving. There are also other cases showing how using cellphones can  (13)   people to miss out on the things around them. For example, I went hiking with a friend a few weeks ago. She was so   (14)   to her cellphone the whole time that she missed out on all the   (15)  things we saw on the mountains, and didn’t get a   (16)   to experience the same awe(敬畏) of nature as I was able to experience.

Lastly, spending too much time on cellphones makes people forget how to have normal conversations.   (17)  , when people use text messaging, they use a form of shorthand known as “Netspeak” to   (18)   on the size of messages and make typing them on small keyboards fast and easy.   (19)   this, many people forget how to spell and use grammar   (20)

I have never understood the importance of parties in the classroom. As a mother of two school age children, I believe that public schools should no longer  41         classroom parties during the school day.

42          is very important to students in school today. Our school year is already too short. Teachers can only just get all the basics of the courses (课程) into the  43          instructional minutes of the day.  44         , there is no time for anything useless or silly.  45          time is best spent focusing on the primary goal — learning.

And what about food? For health and safety reasons, schools often require that  46          for these activities should be bought from a store. This  47          a real problem for many families. Biscuits for a class of students, plus drinks and napkins can  48  what it costs a family to eat a meal at home. The  49          of a classroom party is  50          a problem for many people, especially in these difficult times.  51         , we all know that our children have eaten enough sugar and junk food without the school  52          such unhealthy choices.

All the  53          that a party can create is unacceptable! I  54          those birthday parties held at home for my children. I would just buy the disposable (一次性的) plates, cups, and napkins  55          I didn’t need to do any cleaning up. But even so, I just  56          to fit all the party time rubbish into the rubbish bin (垃圾桶).  57          the trash thrown out by a school of 16 classrooms and over 400 students. It only adds to the  58  of our planet’s environment.

I am not sure when our public schools decided that classroom  59          needed to become a part of the school calendar (日历), but I do not see the  60         . So I do believe schools should forbid (禁止) classroom celebrations.

If you want to perform better and become excellent in your academic and personal life, it is suggested that you include music education in your daily life. Read on to know more about why music education is important in schools.

              Developing Playing Skills Early

Music education is very important in schools because it helps children develop the skill at a very early age. And this may contribute to the child becoming a musical prodigy(天才,尤指神童) if he takes it seriously. As the child starts learning music from an early age, by the time he becomes a youngster, he would turn out to be a proficient(熟练的) musician. And then he can use his talent for many purposes such as teaching other students or using his musical talent to earn his living.

              Improving Concentration in Studies

Students who have been taught music and have a good interest in it academically perform far better than those who are not into music learning. If students are given music education, they naturally tend(倾向) to do well in subjects like science and math.

              Peaceful Living

Many schools who have music education have concluded that music education students have good discipline at school as well as at home. And it is commonly believed that musicians are peace-loving people, and do not get aggressive very soon.

              Personal Satisfaction and Stress Reduction

Music education in schools also benefits the students emotionally, as a majority of students are satisfied and happy about learning music or playing a musical instrument. A notable(显著的) benefit of music education is that it is used as a stress reducer. It has been observed that when a student gets bored or stressed out with studies, he listens to music or starts playing an instrument.
