Many of us develop a desire to travel.   (1)  , few are lucky enough to turn that desire into a   (2)  career(职业,事业). For Trish Sare, owner of Vancouver-based Bike Hike Adventures, Inc., it was a   (3)   story.

“I left home when I was 20 with a   (4)   of traveling the world for five years,” recalls Sare. “During that period, I spent a lot of time   (5)   adventure companies abroad and taking part in some of their adventures. Upon returning, I studied   (6)   and fitness leadership. Then, when we had to do our field placement(实习), I   (7)   a tour agency. When they heard about my   (8)   , they asked if I wanted to go to Costa Rica for my placement and   (9)   as a tour leader. And that is where it all   (10)  .”

That beginning marked the accomplishment of a   (11)   dream for Sare. Today, she can   (12)   those exciting memories from such places as Thailand, Nepal, Costa Rica and more. Although Sare   (13)   her dream of traveling for many years, she began   (14)   something that offered just a little bit more. So, in 2014, she took the big   (15)   of starting her own company: Bike Hike Adventures Inc..

Her career has   (16)   her all over the world to interact with people of so many different   (17)   and backgrounds. Looking back, Sare can   (18)   say that it’s been the right choice for her. Here’s her   (19)   for those wanting a similar path:

“Do some traveling   (20)   your own first and then you’ll be marketable to companies,” she concludes.

              Maximize your holiday budget

When it comes to planning a summer getaway, don’t leave money matters to the last minute. It’s wise to get the money matters in the bag first.

              Travel insurance

Leaving your travel insurance to the last moment is potentially the costliest holiday mistake you can make. Travel insurance doesn’t just protect you from illness and theft when you’re away—it starts as soon as you buy it. This comes into use if you find you need to cancel your trip due to things such as illness or the death of a travelling companion. So it makes sense to get this sorted as soon as you make your first booking.

              Travel money

The worst place to switch your cash into foreign currency is at the airport or ferry port. You’ll find the poorest exchange rates here as they know you’ve no other options. Buy your money at least a week before you go. The best rates can usually be found from specialist brokers, which are often also better than high-street banks. There are exchange-rate comparison websites such as Travel Money Max, which will let you know what you’ll get at the different locations.

              A budget

It might not be the most fun thing to think about, but it’s arguably the most important of them all. Work out how much you can afford to spend when you’re away to avoid any nasty surprises when you get home. It’s helpful to have a daily budget that you adjust up and down if you spend more or less.

I had been fallowing the yellowish-green markers for a "popular and easy" three-mile out-and-back hike (远足). Immediately after the trailhead, the trail (小径) became very rocky and steep. But having read about the hike, I knew within five minutes, I was supposed to reach the hike's first overlook.

However, the overlook never arrived. Instead, I found myself lost in the woods. Pulling out my cellphone, I saw it read "no service". I checked the last text message I'd sent to my mom. It read, "Conference ended ... going for a small hike before my flight home this afternoon." I put my phone away and kept moving and yelling, "Help! Is anybody out there?" Every so often, I'd stop to listen, but I never heard a reply.

I got out my phone again. The battery was running out fast as it searched for a signal. I struggled to find a place where I could get service. When I did, I called my morn. It went through! In a shaky voice, I said, "Mom?" and then the call dropped. More than 1,500 miles away, my mom instantly knew something was wrong. She called the Denver Police Department and was directed to the US Forest Service.

This was how I was introduced to John, an operator from the US Forest Service. Following John's instruction on the phone, 1 finally escaped from the woods. I breathed a sigh of relief. Then my phone rang, and it was John, making sure I was still going in the right direction. "By the way," he said, "we've had your mother on hold this whole time. So once you get down the mountain, you will absolutely want to give her a call."

Barcelona is regarded as Spain's second largest city, behind capital Madrid. The city is rich in history. After numerous different conquers, including the Romans and theMoores that seriously damaged the city, the Argons made Catalonia, of which Barcelona was the capital strong and prosperous (繁荣的). Since the 1970s, the city has formed its Catalonian background. But it wasn't until the summer Olympics in 1992 that Barcelona became the modern, lively city that it still is today. And with this prosperity have come wonderful hotels. The Raewon Callas the 1st was opened in 1992, by the King and Queen of Spain.

So there is a mix between shopping and services.

No visit to the city would be complete without a tour of the Nou Camp, the home of one of Spain's finest teams, Barcelona Football Club. FC Barcelona was founded in 1899 along with the other Spanish team, Real Madrid. It's one of the greatest football teams in Europe. With players like Maradona and Ronaldo having played for Barca, it's easy to explain their success! FC Barcelona is known to have won more cups than any other team in European football history. Fascinating Venice

Located in the northeast of Italy, Venice is well-known for its cultural treasures, romantic atmosphere and unusual living-on-water experience. The city spreads out over 118 islands, which are linked by more than 400 bridges, in the Venetian Lagoon.

Venice’s historical center consists of six regions. San Polo in the middle and San Marco in the south, the busiest main regions, are linked by the Rialto Bridge. The famous stone arch bridge crosses Venice’s main waterway-----the Grand Canal. When night falls, many tourists enjoy dinner at the outside tables by the Grand Canal while watching colorfully lit boats going by.

Near the end of the S-shaped Grand Canal lies St. Mark’s Basilica, a must-see. Inside, beautiful mosaics tells stories of Bible figures. Nearby are the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. These were made famous by Lord Byron, “I stood in Venice on the Bridge of Sighs, a palace and prison on each hand.” Legend has it that if a couple passes under the bridge, their love will last forever.

In the square outside the Basilica, lovers of literature can sit at Caffe Florian, regarded as the oldest coffee house in Europe. Charles Dickens, Henry James as well as Lord Byron enjoyed the wonderful drink here.

Art lovers should buy a museum pass and visit some of the city’s unusual museums. They can view works by Venetian masters like Giovanni, Titian and Tintoretto.

On five small islands in the Venetian Lagoon, Murano has been home to glass-makers since 1291. tourists can visit factories, studios and the Glass Museum.
