That morning,before I realized it,my sixyearold son Jonathan broke a limb of my azalea (杜鹃花) bush and asked,"Can I take this to school today?"
With a wave of my hand,I

I was in low spirits most of the day.

I watched the brighteyed child

"Well,yesterday she was almost

"Today your son walked straight

(18) her some pretty pink flowers and whisper,‘I love you.'"
I felt my heart swell with
(19) for what my son had done.I smiled at the teacher."Thank you,"I said,reaching for Jonathan's hand,"you've
