   ●Try to know problems faced by the physically disabled in Hong Kong. Write a 200-word article on the difficulties these people have to suffer each day.

   ●Try to know modern inventions that help the physically disabled. Then think out a robot or a machine that will improve the lives of the physically disabled. Draw your invention. You can make as many drawings as you like to show your invention. You can even make a small model of your invention

●Write a short description of your invention

   Who-can join? All middle school students inHong Kong. So, come on! Join the competition, and get the chance!

2014 TFK Poetry Contest

Calling all poets! TIME For Kids has a challenge for you：Write a funny rhyming poem. It must be an original poem that does not copy another poet’s work. Enter it in the TIME For Kids Poetry Contest. As fewer and fewer children are interested in writing poetry of their own, TIME For Kids decides to organize and sponsor such a contest to change the situation.

   Contest Rules

   1 . How to enter：This contest begins at 12：01am on March 6, 2014 and ends at 11：59 pm on July 24, 2014. To enter, mail the following information to1271 Avenue of the Americas, 32nd Floor, New York, New York 10020：(a)an original and previously unpublished poem that is humorous and has a rhyme scheme；(b)Entrant’s first name only and a parent’s mail address. Limit one entry per person. By entering, entrant promises that the entry(1)is original, (2)has not been published in any medium and(3)has not won an award.

   2 . Judging :all entries will be judged by poet Kenn Nesbitt, based on the following criteria：creativity and originality(50％), use of language and rhyme(25％)and appropriateness to the theme of the contest(25％). The length of the entry will not be taken into consideration.

   3 . Prize：Our judge will select four semifinalists(半决赛选手)from which one grand-prize winner and three finalists will be chosen. The one grand-prize winner will receive an online class visit from Children’s Poet Kenn Nesbitt and a signed copy of his newest book of poetry,The Armpit of funny Poems for Kids, approximately value：$2 75. The three finalists will each get a signed copy of Nesbitt’S newest book of poetry,The Armpit of Doom：Funny Poems for Kids, and both their poems and that of the grand-prize winner will be published at timeforkids. com.

   4 . Eligibility(参赛资格)：Open to legal citizens of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are primary school students and are 8 to 13years old at time of entry.

Betty’s cakes & Candy Shop, started half a century ago, specializes in wedding cakes and birthday cakes. Buying a cake from Betty’s will not disappoint you as they are always excellent.

Crepes’ Quality Bakery

At 217S. Cavin Street Ligonier, IN.(260) 894-3024, this third generation bakery is located downtown Ligonier. It offers cookies and cupcakes, and specializes in rolls and bread. If you plan to buy cookies for the office or work area, you had better get there early as the building workers arrive just before 5:00 am waiting for the doors to open.

Olympia Candy Kitchen

At 136N. Main Street Goshen, IN. (574) 533-5040, it has been welcoming visitors for almost a century in its unchanged location in downtown Goshen, Indiana. Its tradition began in 1912 when Greek Nicholas began making his own chocolates. Today this family-owned operation offers all kinds of candies and boxed candies. If you need an order, you should call ahead of time to see if they can meet your request.

   The New York Aquarium(水族馆) offers a diverse collection and nice viewing experience for all our guests. Whether you're observing penguins on their rocky coastline home or swimming underwater, looking at a coral reef(珊瑚礁)under the water, or cheering on California sea lions at the theater, you'll find plenty to see and do during your visit. Your underwater adventure is waiting for you! This summer, head out to Coney Island to learn about the underwa-ter world at the New York Aquarium.

   Just off the Coney Island in Brooklyn, the New York Aquarium features more than 300 marine(海洋的) species, such as dolphins and seals. Meet some of our mammals and fish, and learn about their natural history, biology, and cultural roles.

Where fun, fitness, and education come together

      Don’t miss our new summer classes available during May 23- Aug 5!

      Swimming lessons:Ages 4—adult. Cost: $ 5 per class or $ 15 for one month.

      Hiking:Have a state park keeper hike through our paths with you and teach you about the park’s wildlife and plants. Marksdale is a perfect spot for hiking.

      Soccer:Our youth soccer program is unusual in that it is non-competitive. Different teams are formedevery day. The focus is on each player learning to work as a team, not on one team winning it all.

      Boating:These classes are only for 20-year-olds and above. Fishing is only allowed with a permit.

      Bicycling:We have special paths built for bicyclists. Signs are posted for self-guided tours of our park. Group cycling is also available with a park guide. Paths range from easy to challenging.

      A message from the director:

      Hiking paths! Sport fields! Playgrounds! Campgrounds! Fun activities! Located on McQueeney, Marksdale State Park offers something for everyone. We have a number of plants and animals, which are in danger of dying out, being protected in our park. Sign up for one of our new summer community classes, or take a camping trip with your friends or family. Our facilities (设施) are set up with modern systems, so you don’t have to suffer to enjoy nature — unless you want to.
