              ⟡Room 502 Our students come from different backgrounds but have the same desire to learn on-line. The presenter will use examples from his first on-line class to explain how any teacher can begin teaching on-line with TEO.

              ⟡Room 601 Kahoot software can be used to create grammar tests which can be graded on a network. It can provide students with instant feedback(反馈),including reports about their strengths and weaknesses.

              Prezi

              ⟡3:30 pm to 4:20 pm

              ⟡Room 602 Uses of Prezi in listening and speaking courses draw students’ attention to speaking more fluently. The presenter will show how students can use Prezi to confidently present on a variety of topics,including introducing family, friends, and hobbies.

                 What do you have to do?

                 ●Try to know problems faced by the physically disabled in Hong Kong. Write a 200-word article on the difficulties these people have to suffer each day.

                 ●Try to know modern inventions that help the physically disabled. Then think out a robot or a machine that will improve the lives of the physically disabled. Draw your invention. You can make as many drawings as you like to show your invention. You can even make a small model of your invention

              ●Write a short description of your invention

              2014 TFK Poetry Contest

              Calling all poets! TIME For Kids has a challenge for you:Write a funny rhyming poem. It must be an original poem that does not copy another poet’s work. Enter it in the TIME For Kids Poetry Contest. As fewer and fewer children are interested in writing poetry of their own, TIME For Kids decides to organize and sponsor such a contest to change the situation.

                 Contest Rules

                 1 . How to enter:This contest begins at 12:01am on March 6, 2014 and ends at 11:59 pm on July 24, 2014. To enter, mail the following information to1271 Avenue of the Americas, 32nd Floor, New York, New York 10020:(a)an original and previously unpublished poem that is humorous and has a rhyme scheme;(b)Entrant’s first name only and a parent’s mail address. Limit one entry per person. By entering, entrant promises that the entry(1)is original, (2)has not been published in any medium and(3)has not won an award.

                 2 . Judging :all entries will be judged by poet Kenn Nesbitt, based on the following criteria:creativity and originality(50%), use of language and rhyme(25%)and appropriateness to the theme of the contest(25%). The length of the entry will not be taken into consideration.

                 3 . Prize:Our judge will select four semifinalists(半决赛选手)from which one grand-prize winner and three finalists will be chosen. The one grand-prize winner will receive an online class visit from Children’s Poet Kenn Nesbitt and a signed copy of his newest book of poetry,The Armpit of funny Poems for Kids, approximately value:$2 75.               Welcome to Marksdale State Park

              Where fun, fitness, and education come together

                    Don’t miss our new summer classes available during May 23- Aug 5!

                    Swimming lessons:Ages 4—adult. Cost: $ 5 per class or $ 15 for one month.

                    Hiking:Have a state park keeper hike through our paths with you and teach you about the park’s wildlife and plants. Marksdale is a perfect spot for hiking.

                    Soccer:Our youth soccer program is unusual in that it is non-competitive. Different teams are formedevery day. The focus is on each player learning to work as a team, not on one team winning it all.

                    Boating:These classes are only for 20-year-olds and above. Fishing is only allowed with a permit.

                    Bicycling:We have special paths built for bicyclists. Signs are posted for self-guided tours of our park. Group cycling is also available with a park guide. Paths range from easy to challenging.

                    A message from the director:

                    Hiking paths! Sport fields! Playgrounds! Campgrounds! Fun activities! Located on McQueeney, Marksdale State Park offers something for everyone. We have a number of plants and animals, which are in danger of dying out, being protected in our park. Sign up for one of our new summer community classes, or take a camping trip with your friends or family. Our facilities (设施) are set up with modern systems, so you don’t have to suffer to enjoy nature — unless you want to.
