Bargain(廉价购买)shopping is popular among most people throughout the world. The main reason is that people know they get the opportunity(机会)to save money. But in order to buy things at the lowest prices, you need to follow certain tips.

Use the Internet. You have more shopping areas by shopping online. You can go to many online stores. You are able to see various products with different prices in them. Through going online, you can compare the products’ prices and qualities(质量).

Use online coupons(优惠券). By using these coupons, you can even expect a discount (折扣) of 50% on what you want to buy. There are many websites that offer these coupons and they have different kinds of goods for you.

Shop at the right time. It is a known fact that there are certain items that go on sale in certain months of the year. Keep an eye on such sales and visit the store only during those particular times of the year in order to receive the best offers.

Use a shopping list. By acquiring the habit of writing a shopping list, you will always remember to buy the things you want. If you just enter a store and start buying things that you are interested in, you will probably end buying many cheap things that you may not need.

Take part in online auctions(拍卖). If you are familiar with online shopping, you should take part in online auctions. Some websites such as e-bay offer auctions and give you the opportunity to buy products at low prices.

A farming game becomes popular on the Internet as users get up in the morning to steal crops and fruit from their friends’ farms and become the kings of virtual (虚拟的) farming.

Just like the farm game “kaixin 001” in Chinese. Users can plant crops, and raise chickens and sheep, and the harvest can be sold and exchanged for experience points to increase the attraction. Players can sneak into (潜入) their friends’ farms and steal crops. The more practiced a user gets in planting crops, the more virtual money he or she can make. That makes it much more fun than just killing time on the Internet.

Now more city white collars, young office ladies in particular, are going online to live a country life. ________ that they set the alarm for an early rise every day, when they start up the computer and go farming. If they overslept, their fields would turn into a tourist farm where anyone takes whatever he or she wants. They can use a virtual network to plant, water crops, get rid of pests, harvest and sell their crops, and they can raise chickens and cows, and buy dogs to guard the farm. The whole process is much more interesting than electronic chickens, and seeing the results of their own hard work pile in the storage offers some kind of satisfaction in an otherwise boring daily life.

              (4) Which sentence in the passage can be replaced by the following one?

Compared with wasting some time on line, the game is more interesting.

              (5) Why do white collars, especially young office ladies like the game? (Please answer within 15 words.)

Drugs are harmful and addictive. But young children may not know this. Use this guide to help teach your children to avoid drugs.

Make sure that what you tell your children is true. If you tell them that marijuana(大麻)can kill them, but in fact it can’t, then when they find out the truth, they will be hurt that you lied to them, and will no longer believe other things you tell them.

Never order them not to take drugs. This is especially important to older kids and teenagers. Most teenagers go through the stage of rebellion. When you forbid them to do something, it only makes them want to do it more. Tell them that drugs can be harmful and addictive and that they can ruin their life, but don’t forbid them to take drugs.

Do your best to build your children’s confidence and help them out of trouble. Adult drug addicts often had troubled childhoods or an extremely traumatic experience in their younger years, such as a divorce or death in the family. Many teenagers take drugs because they are unwilling to face problems and want to escape in this way. Encourage your children to overcome difficulties and make sure your children know that you love them.

Tell your children to stop spending time with friends who take drugs because children usually can’t resist temptation(诱惑) or they have to take drugs because of peer pressure. But you shouldn’t force them to do that. Being controlling and overprotective by keeping your children out of their social situations will only cause them to lose respect for you and mistrust your judgment. Remember that the choice is always theirs, and controlling their life will only make them more likely to use drugs to escape.

              (1) What will happen if parents tell a lie to children about drugs?(No more than 8 words)
_____________________________________________________________________________ (2) Why shouldn’t parents order children to keep away from drugs?(No more than 12 words)

I have a friend called Joe. We grew up in the same little town, and I went to school with him. He has an older brother called Frank who was severely disabled. As these two brothers grew up, Joe got married, had a family, and moved into an old house. Frank lived with his mother until her health failed. Then Joe took his brother into his own home to care for him. Frank required much care, especially as he began to get older.

An old “Town Father” called Sam had been watching Joe. He recognized Joe' s circumstances. Sam arranged for materials to build a house for Joe, his family, and his brother. He organized the local townspeople for the purpose of building Joe a “House In A Day”. Could it be done? It would take a great deal of cooperation and scheduling!                     Choosing the right university for you is a big decision with many factors to consider. The institution that you choose will not only be the one that ensures your academic goals, but it will also be where you will live, learn, play sports, socialize and work for several years. Therefore, before you start filling out those university application forms, take a step back and consider the many variables that affect the "fit" of a university to your unique personality and educational goals. Take a look at the following factors, and decide which ones mean the most to you.

Consider your educational goals. You will discover that different schools are more recognized or progressive in your chosen field of study than others. For this reason, talk to advisors, professionals in your field, or go to clubs organized by the alumni (校友) . When you check out school ranking for your major, you may find that your first choice is not really a match, while another fits perfectly.

Consider costs. It will be no surprise to you at this point that not all schools cost the same. Some of the more famous schools are so because they are difficult to get into and difficult to pay for. Don't let this necessarily stop you. Just keep this consideration in mind as you narrow your list of potential schools.

Choosing a university should not be done only on reputation, but also take the academic programs and overall environment into consideration. Be aware that reputations are sometimes out of date or overstated, so first-hand experience is often beneficial.

Once you've identified the factors that are most important to you, you've taken the first steps towards making a successful choice. Make sure you pick a university that will serve your needs throughout your university career.

Understanding the psychology of ourselves and others around us can play a huge part in our happiness. Whether it is believing we aren’t good enough because we’re told we should be at a certain point in our lives by a certain time, or it is simply misunderstanding others’ intentions or reactions to us, we need to get into a better mindset that will limit the amount of the negative things in our lives.

So we need to make a habit of learning some psychological lessons that are important to living an easier life. One of such lessons is realizing that people don’t care as much as you think. Being so caught up in what others think of us or acting in a way that will meet other people’s expectations is harmful to us because everyone is occupied with their own problems and insecurities. Actually, most of what we believe people are thinking is only assumptions our own minds create based on past experiences or incorrect thoughts. Be yourself without worrying what others think will go a long way towards achieving personal happiness.

It’s easy to think that we are the same person we were ten years ago and will be thinking and feeling the same in another ten years, but we are not. Our former, present and future selves are all independent because our mindsets change with our lives’ situations and experiences. Because of this, we should always be true to our present selves when making decisions. We can never predict what our future self will think and feel and everything that happened in the past was for our former selves.

Have you ever seen a friend’s problem and known what they need to do to sort it out? You give advice but it just seems to fall on deaf ears. You feel frustrated because, after all, you just want to help them. The thing is, no one ever really listens to advice unless they happen to be in the right mindset at the right time. At the end of the day, people will only change their mindsets or outlooks through their own realization and experiences. Sometimes the change may come in the form of your advice but most of the time it needs to happen for them at their own paces. Don’t feel ignored or disheartened--- you did your bit, now let them work it out.

              Application of psychological rules

              Introduction

Knowing our own and others’ psychology can make us live happily as it can prevent us  (1)   each other.

We need a better mindset to think   (3)  .

              Suggestions

Realize that everyone is actually so   (4)   that they don’t care about you.

Don’t care too much about others’  (5)   about you.

Don’t act just to   (6)   others.

Know that you are always  (7)  .

Even with these problems.efforts have been made to change the situation.A school clothes competition was held in April in Beijing.Thirty-seven uniforms,to be seen in schools next spring, were selected from 570.“The perfect uniform should remind the students of the school’s honor and cause them to be proud of it whenever and wherever they are.”Chen said.
